The door sat visibly crooked in the opening, maybe four inches lower on the left. When we put hands on it, the torsion spring had snapped clean at the coil and the cables were slack on one side. We measured the existing spring at 0.225-inch wire diameter, matched it to the door weight, and replaced both springs as a pair. The door came back level, balanced, and quiet under lift.
Full Panel Replacement After Backing Incident
The bottom two panels carried a crease the shape of a trailer hitch. The homeowner needed the door working that day because there was no other way into the garage.
